BSNL to Launch Value-Line Mobile Phones in India

According to India's Economic Times, Indian BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has plans to launch the low-priced GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) mobile phones in India, with a price tag of 1000 Rupee (US$21.7; US$1 = 45.9 Rupee) or less. The company aimed to boost their new subscribers by 20 million annually with this rollout.
